Sculptor Henrik Vilhelm Voldmester (1946 – 2021)

From the book "From then till now". Written 2016.:

"I play!

There are many kinds of artists. Some have a philosophical approach to creating pieces of art, but as a sculptor myself, I use the words 'creator of things', possibly being slightly naive about the artistic process.

Being the artist I am, one needs to be a reliable craftsman, who knows his tools, and how to use them. Chisels, hammers and knives, as well as many others, are food for thought. The thought process just happens, the hand grabs the right tools at the right time, the artistic process evolves.

I don't work on a sculpture, I play with it. I fantasise and make up stories, as the sculpture starts to make sense and reaches the stage, where personality shows. I talk to it, trying to find out what and who it is. If I fail to understand it's language, it has no life, and I have to let it go.

During the creative process I try to keep the freshness of the scetch alive in the sculpture, I prefer a raw approach and a surface full of life, rather than a nice and over polished piece of art.

My works of art will not change the world, but I do hope, my sculptures will spread joy and positive thoughts amongst you."

Sound logo by Fuzzy (1939 - 2022)

Fuzzy (b. 1939) His work ranges widely, from jazz to film music to experimental electronic music. He moves effortlessly between the popular and educational (such as the TV show "Fuzzy's workshop" for children) and the avant-garde expression that fills most of his works, and he is therefore difficult to put in stalls. In addition to opera, orchestral, choral and chamber music works, Fuzzy has dealt with electroacoustic music often in connection with ballet, theater, film and mixed forms thereof, including the 12-channel electroacoustic manuscript "Katalog" for the Black Diamond, commissioned by the Royal Library.

The musical logo for the section on "The Three Musicians", was composed at the request of Ulla and Lisbeth at the Struer calendar "Life & this year with art & song in Struer" and has been realized in Fuzzy's sound studio "Fuzzy's Workshop", where he develops and produces much of his music.
